Theme
at the
Avenue Art Gallery is four artists who have similar views in how they approach
their creativity. The group is Karen Kuff-Demicco, Janet Normile, Cyrena Summers, and Joe Trapper.
For the show,
"A-RT = Words/Chance",
they have invited a number of artists to join them in showing what
each has created following certain guidelines. Each artist randomly selected 3 words from the dictionary
(blind folded) and then created 3 pieces of works revolving around the 3 words that they picked.
The Artists in this exhibition subscribe to the Dada movement or school where they strive to break
down boundaries between the different forms of art.... showing how the different forms can cross over
to others such as painting becoming a performing art, or dancing becoming a form of sculpture.
This exhibition should greatly arouse the senses of the viewer and help them to feel that they are
PART of the show itself..............
Participating friends of the A-RT include: Pam Burns, Judy Salton, Chris Bahr, MaryRose Griffin,
Doug Vitarius, Jean Smith, Phyllis Conlon, Martha Colgan, Marianne McCormick, Isolde Trapper, and Bill Wandling.
