John Palmer's Biography -
 "The natural world surrounds us whether we are planting a garden in our yard, taking a walk in a park, or backpacking in a wilderness area. When we commune with nature, we are feeding a basic desire within to leave behind the stress of our busy lives, to take a deep breath and appreciate the beauty that so often is taken for granted. As I have rediscovered the desire to explore, photography has allowed me to capture rare moments and document the striking beauty that appears and disappears in seconds. The passion to capture and share images of these special events and places takes me to some of this countries most wild, scenic, and wilderness areas. To share with others and help bring an awareness and appreciateion for this beauty is what drives me. Many of our State and National Parks, Wilderness areas and National Monuments are under staffed, under funded, and under siege by special interests intent on exploiting their resources for monetary gain. I urge you to become aware of the problems our national treasures and environment face so that future generations may explore and marvel at the natural beauty that we have left for them." John T. Palmer is a building maintenance contractor living in Bainbridge, NY. His images are captured using Nikon SLR cameras and lenses and Fujichrome professional films. Digital manipulation is not used in any manner... what is seen through the lens is the final product. Prints are reproduced on Fuji Crystal archival paper. All matting and framing is of the highest quality - acid free conservation framing.
