The Avenue Art Gallery is proud to be hosting the exhibition, Scandinavian Dreams, featuring the works of nine artists from the Scandinavian countries in Europe. This exhibit brings together the largest gathering of Scandinavian artists assembled in the Northeast in years.

Scandinavian artists are greatly affected by the physical and social elements in their environment. This is quite evident in the use of color and "mood." There is a harshness to many of their works which parallels the climate in which they live, and yet, one will see a brightness and airiness which reflects the nature of life in these countries.

The Avenue Art Gallery takes great pleasure in presenting the art of Svend Bringskov, Bente-Elisabeth Endresen, Poul Kjaer, Guillermo Lorente Prez, Simonne Holm, Winnie Meisler, Anne-Mette Nyland, Laila Strandberg, Geo Swartz, and Stig Tobiassen.

On November 6, from 4:00PM - 5:00PM, the Gallery will be hosting a Gallery walk and Artist Talk. Several of the artists will be present. A public Reception will take place immediately after from 5:30 PM until 8:30PM. Lite fair and musical entertainment will be provided during the reception.
